How does it work?
There are different categories of Ultraviolet (UV) lights on the electromagnetic spectrum. According to current research, UV lights with a wavelength of 200-280 nm possess germicidal effects, also known as UVC. The mechanism of UVC inactivation of microorganisms is to damage the genetic material in the nucleus of the cell or nucleic acids in the virus. By destroying nucleic acids and damaging their DNA, the virus is unable to perform vital cellular functions and cannot reproduce.
The UVC spectrum, especially the range of 250–270 nm, is strongly absorbed by the nucleic acids of a microorganism. Therefore, is the most lethal range of wavelengths for microorganisms. This range, with 262 nm being the peak germicidal wavelength, is known as the germicidal spectrum. Wonder wand is able to produce a UVC wavelength of 260-280 nm. By exposing contaminated surfaces to UVC irradiation, bacterias and viruses are “inactivated” or killed.
How effective is UVC?
For decades, scientists have conducted countless research and tests to prove the validity of UVC irradiation and their germicidal effectiveness. Hospitals and other healthcare facilities have implemented ultraviolet germicidal irradiation systems equipped with low-pressure mercury vapor lamps to disinfect their environment with a sterilization rate of up to 99.9%.
The problem? Unfortunately, traditional UVC mercury vapor lamps are usually large, expensive, and pose health hazards to humans which prevent its use to the public.
Our solution? Wonder wand utilizes advanced LED (Light-emitting diodes) technology to produce UVC irradiation wavelengths with the same germicidal effects as traditional mercury vapor lamps without its health hazards. Wonder wand is chemical-free, ozone-free, and mercury-free.
With this technological advance, sterilizing is made safe, portable, affordable, energy-efficient, and easy to access. 
Is it safe to use?
Yes, it is safe to use if operated correctly. Please refer to the user manual and follow instructions for safety guidelines prior to use. Wonder wand is chemical-free, ozone-free, and mercury-free. However, just like any household LED light bulb, it produces a very minimal radiation that is within limit standards. DO NOT look directly into the lights or irradiate skin for a prolonged period of time, and KEEP AWAY from children.
What bacterias and viruses can UVC kill?
With current studies, UVC irradiation has proven its ability to kill E.Coli, Salmonella, Influenza, H1N1, molds, drug-resistant superbugs such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and many other harmful pathogens. 
Can UVC kill coronavirus (Covid-19)?
Covid-19 is a new strain of coronavirus that is affecting many people world-wide, causing a pandemic. Due to the fact that it is a new strain, current research of UVC irradiation and their effectiveness against Covid-19 is scarce. With inadequate information, there are currently no vaccines or cure to Covid-19. There are only preventative measures to combat the disease. However, we can refer to the past for insights. Past studies have shown that UVC irradiation has the ability to “inactivate” or kill at least 2 other coronaviruses that are near-relatives of Covid-19 such as SARS-CoV-1 and MERS-CoV. Due to these findings, it is not unreasonable to believe that UVC irradiation has the same effectiveness on Covid-19. We will also committed to providing any additional new information, research, and studies related to UVC irradiation and its effects on Covid-19 once they are available. 
How do I know that it is working?
Unfortunately, bacterias and viruses are microorganisms that are naked to the human eyes. Due to its nature, you will not be able to “see” that it is working. However, we will provide proof-of-concept videos demonstrating UVC irradiation and its germicidal effects under a microscope on our website. In Addition, we will also provide proven scientific research journals, studies, blog posts written by doctors, and certifications. 
Can I replace hand sanitizers/washing hands with soap with wonder wand?
No, we do not recommend the replacement of these hygienic practices with wonder wand. Instead, wonder wand is meant to be utilized as an extra preventative step to further combat diseases and illnesses. 
How can I use wonder wand effectively?
To use wonder wand effectively, press and hold the on/off button for 2 seconds and wait for a light to emit. Once it is on, wave the wand back and forth as close as possible (no more than 3cm away) on the surface you want to sterilize. Continue to wave the wand for 10-60 seconds (depending on the size of the surface) for optimal effectiveness. After use, press and hold the on/off button for 2 seconds and wait for the light to diminish, signaling that it's turned off.
Wonder wand can be used to disinfect household items, tables, counters, sinks, toilets, electronics, keys, phones, steering wheels, shopping cart handles, packages, laptops, school supplies, daily necessities, and most inanimate objects.  
Wonder wand also shines in disinfecting items where using disinfecting wipes are difficult. Cosmetics, baby products (Pacifiers), money, stuffed-animals, toys, clothes, fabrics, beds, and pillows are all good candidates.
